A Friday ritual. A single photo, no words, capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
“This Moment” is a ritual found on SouleMama which was introduced to me by Sarah-Jane, of Samuel Michaels Photography. If you find yourself touched by a moment and would like to participate, post your picture on a Friday and leave your link in the comments section.

Looks like a diverse accumulation of berries…they seem to be all different colors. I thought at first they were jelly beans! Very cool..I love getting my kids outside and into nature, learning about gardening, etc.

Blackberry picking? Doesn’t look like the little gal got many ripe ones, but, as they say, live and learn. Looks like the fun here outweighs anything else. Great moment, Linda!

Like Jessica, I thought the berries were jelly beans! I think I have candy on the brain too often! I love the energy of this shot. You’ve managed to capture a moment that shows just how engaged the children are in this activity. Well done, lady!

Great. Great moment…look at those kids they are so into it! I love this and it has absolutely nothing to do with berries!
The other day, stepping on kids, busy trying to get the dishes washed and stuff from breakfast put away, I sent my kids outside so I could get stuff done… I can watch them from the kitchen window while they play and still wash or put dishes into the dishwasher.
I was busy doing my thing when all of a sudden I remembered buying water squirt thingys that I had forgotten all about. As I am looking at my girls sitting there on the ground building rock towers looking bored…it occurred to me the reason i was stepping on them ~they wanted my attention.
I stopped what I was doing, filled the squirters and went outside. My girls looked up and I could tell from their expressions that they were very surprised to see me… I dropped a couple of the squirters, squirted at them and took off running…yelling well don’t just stand there, grab a squirter and try your best to catch me. They needed attention more that dishes needed washing…the smiles, giggles and fun meant more to me than seeing a clean kitchen! Thank you for reminding me of what is truly important…making time for those we care about!
